Dog Owner Fined £100 in Hayle: Were You Aware of This Risk?
A dog owner in Hayle has been issued a £100 Fixed Penalty Notice after failing to clean up after their dog, Cornwall Council has confirmed.
Offence Witnessed by Enforcement Officer
The incident was observed by a community enforcement officer, who witnessed the owner’s off-lead dog foul in a public area. The owner claimed they had not noticed the incident.
Cornwall Council has reminded residents that it is their responsibility to clean up after their pets in public areas, regardless of whether the offence was seen at the time.
How to Stay Compliant
Dog owners are encouraged to keep their pets in sight at all times during walks and to carry waste bags for proper disposal. Failure to do so could result in further penalties.
