Marmadukes of Mevagissey Named Best Shop in the UK at Dog Friendly Awards
Marmadukes of Mevagissey has been named “Best Shop in the UK” at the Dog Friendly Awards 2025, with the ceremony taking place on 20th November at the Kennel Club in Mayfair, London.
The win comes as the boutique moves to its new spot in Mevagissey overlooking the square and war memorial, with the official opening planned for Saturday to coincide with the Christmas lights switch on.
Award Winning and Community Focused
Marmadukes, found at marmadukesofmevagissey.com, is known for being more than a boutique. The shop collects for dog charities, runs charity dog shows and offers private shopping sessions for anxious dogs, complete with complimentary reiki.
Emma Marcello, owner of Marmadukes of Mevagissey, said she was thrilled with the national recognition.
“I am absolutely over the moon,” said Emma Marcello.
“To be recognised on a national stage for something I live and breathe every day is incredibly special. My customers and their dogs mean everything to me, and this award truly belongs to them.”
Recognition on a National Stage
The Dog Friendly Awards, organised by DogFriendly each year, celebrate businesses and organisations that make life easier for dog owners. The event brought together dog friendly businesses from across the UK to celebrate their work.
Marmadukes has thanked everyone who voted and says it will continue providing a welcoming and joyful experience for dogs and their owners throughout the year.
