BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time Heads to Cornwall’s Eden Project
Fans of BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time will have the chance to see the popular programme recorded live when it comes to the Eden Project on Tuesday 26th August 2025.
The event will take place in the Mediterranean Biome, with just 150 tickets available for the recording.
Expert panel returns a decade later
The celebrated panel of horticultural experts, including Anne Swithinbank, Frances Tophill and Chris Beardshaw, will be joined by chair Kathy Clugston to tackle questions from the audience.
Gardeners’ Question Time is a long-standing BBC Radio 4 institution with 2 million weekly listeners. Since its inception in 1947, the programme has answered over 30,000 questions and is recorded in a different location each week.
This will be the second time the team has recorded at the Eden Project, having first visited in 2015 to mark the attraction’s 15th birthday. Their return comes ahead of the Eden Project’s 25th birthday in 2026.
Peter Jones, director of horticulture at the Eden Project, said:
“It’s a huge honour to be able to host such an iconic gardening programme for a second time and again at a momentous time in our journey as we look ahead to our 25th birthday in 2026. I’m naturally a huge fan of the show and can’t wait to hear what questions our audience puts to the expert panel.”
A rich history of unique locations
Over the years, the panel has recorded from an array of distinctive venues, including the top of Mount Snowdon, Buckingham Palace and inside Number 10 Downing Street.
At the Eden Project, the team will be joined by special guests from the attraction to share unique plant stories and reflect on its 25 years as an educational charity dedicated to connecting people with the natural world and inspiring positive action.
When to listen and how to attend
Two episodes will be recorded at the event and will be broadcast on Friday 5th September and Friday 26th September 2025.
The recording will run from 6:15pm to 8:15pm, with doors opening for ticket holders at 5:15pm. Tickets are priced at £4.50 and are available from www.edenproject.com.
Only 150 spaces are available.
