Eden Project Hosts UK’s Biggest Outdoor Cinema Tour This May
The Eden Project, known for its iconic Biomes, is set to host the UK’s most anticipated outdoor cinema experience for a special three-night event from May 25 to 27.
Adventure Cinema is bringing its blockbuster lineup to the heart of Cornwall, offering movie enthusiasts an unforgettable experience under the stars.
The cinematic weekend kicks off on Saturday, May 25, with a screening of the sun-soaked musical Mamma Mia!. Audiences can expect an evening filled with the catchy tunes of ABBA, as the film stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, and Amanda Seyfried take viewers on a journey to Greece, complete with pre-show singalongs and disco classics.
On Sunday, May 26, Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park will roar to life against a backdrop that mirrors the movie’s majestic jungle scenes — minus the velociraptors. This iconic dinosaur adventure is set to captivate attendees with its awe-inspiring visuals and thrilling storyline.
The weekend concludes on bank holiday Monday, May 27, with the heartwarming romantic comedy Pretty Woman, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Guests are invited to bring blankets and picnic baskets for a cosy night of cinema under the clear sky.
To enhance the experience, the Eden Project offers hot food, snacks, and drinks for purchase. For those looking for an extra touch of luxury, a pre-show dinner option is available in the Mediterranean Biome. The dinner features a glass of Prosecco or Cornish Elderflower and a two-course meal inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, utilising Eden-grown and locally sourced produce.
Attendees have the option to bring their own seating or upgrade to a premium ticket, which includes a luxury deck chair in a prime viewing location, a tote bag filled with cinema snacks, and a cosy blanket. Ticket prices are set at £15.50 plus booking fee for adults and £9.50 plus booking fee for under 12’s, with premium tickets available for £22.50 plus booking fee.
The event promises a mix of pre-show entertainment starting at 7:45 pm, with film screenings beginning at 9:45 pm. Those opting for the dinner experience can enjoy their meal at 6:30 pm. Pre-booking for the cinema and dinner is essential to secure a spot in this unique setting.
