You Won’t Want to Miss This: The Libertines Are Coming to Cornwall for a One-Day Eden Sessions Blowout
Tickets on sale Monday for epic summer finale featuring Frank Turner, Sports Team and more
The Eden Project has confirmed that iconic indie rockers The Libertines will be headlining a one-off Eden Sessions special this summer — a day-long celebration of live music set to take place on Sunday 13th July 2025.
This exclusive event will mark the grand finale of this year’s Eden Sessions season, with The Libertines topping a diverse bill that also features Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, art-rock favourites Sports Team, and rising Cornish Celtic punks Mên An Tol.
Tickets go on general sale at 3:30pm on Monday 12th May via edensessions.com, priced at £56 plus a £7.30 booking fee. Priority access is already open to Inside Track pass-holders.
Indie Legends Return to the Top
Fronted by Carl Barât and Pete Doherty, with John Hassall on bass and Gary Powell on drums, The Libertines helped define the UK’s early 2000s indie music scene. Their explosive debut album Up The Bracket (2002) brought chaotic energy and sharp lyrics, while their 2004 self-titled follow-up shot to Number 1 in the UK Album Chart, producing hits like Can’t Stand Me Now, What Became of the Likely Lads, and Don’t Look Back Into The Sun.
Two decades on, the band have returned to form. Their latest album, All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, debuted at Number 1 in the UK Album Chart in 2024, proving they’re as relevant as ever. A sold-out UK tour in late 2024 was followed by a sold-out European tour earlier this year.
From working with The Clash’s Mick Jones to producer Dimitri Tikovoï (Placebo, Charli XCX, The Horrors), the band’s journey has always balanced creative brilliance with a bit of beautiful chaos. Their unforgettable Glastonbury performance in 2022, two decades after their debut, showed their staying power in full force.
Rita Broe, Eden Sessions managing director, said:
“The Libertines are a band whose story is woven into the fabric of British music history – raw and uncompromising. To welcome them to the Eden Sessions for what promises to be an unforgettable, one-day celebration feels incredibly special.
“The event will bring together a standout lineup of exciting acts, who, combined, will be sure to deliver a passionate and powerful day – a fitting finale for this years’ Sessions season.”
Frank Turner Joins the Line-up
Joining The Libertines for the day is Frank Turner, backed by The Sleeping Souls. Frank is one of the UK’s most successful artists, with his tenth studio album, Undefeated, released in May 2024, debuting at Number 3 in the Official Album Chart and Number 1 in the Independent Album Chart.
His previous album, FTHC (2022), became his first UK Number 1, with four earlier albums also reaching the Top 3. With over a million albums sold worldwide, Frank boasts three gold-certified albums and one silver.
In February 2025, Frank played his 3000th show at London’s Alexandra Palace — a sold-out gig that was snapped up within 24 hours of general sale. His biggest UK headline shows include the O2 Arena and Wembley Arena.
Sports Team and Mên An Tol Round Out the Day
Also on the bill are Sports Team, known for their energetic live performances and irreverent stage presence, alongside Mên An Tol, whose fast-paced blend of Celtic punk makes them one of Cornwall’s most exciting emerging bands.
