Zog and the Flying Doctors at Eden Project This October Half Term
Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's well-loved character Zog will be soaring into the Eden Project this October half term, running from 25th October to 2nd November.
The dragon, joined by Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout, will bring a week filled with adventure, puzzles and seasonal fun.
A Botanical Quest with Zog
Visitors will be invited to take part in a mystical mission to help Zog and the Flying Doctors by uncovering special ingredients hidden around Eden's iconic Biomes and Outdoor Gardens. Along the way, families will encounter characters from the story, uncover fun facts and solve clues to complete the trail.
The journey culminates in the Mediterranean Biome where families can step into the final scene of the story and take flight on Zog's back in a special immersive experience.
Meet Zog and Capture the Moment
Throughout each day, Zog himself will be appearing in the Pavilion, giving adventurers the chance to meet him and take photos. Visitors are also encouraged to come dressed in Zog-inspired costumes and share their pictures on Eden Project's social media channels.
The programme is based on the popular book Zog and the Flying Doctors, where Zog the dragon acts as an air ambulance for Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout, inspiring readers to use their knowledge and skills to care for others.
More Half Term Fun
Elsewhere, families can test their potion-making skills in the Core building, using natural ingredients to create their own Halloweden potions to take home. A striking autumnal display of pumpkins, all grown at the Eden Project, will also be on show.
October half term also marks the return of Eden's ice rink, where guests can wrap up and enjoy skating in a magical setting.
Kate Francis, the Eden Project's live producer, said:
"We're hugely excited to welcome Zog to the Eden Project this half term as part of our jam-packed programme! This time of the year is always special here, with the Eden Project filled with autumnal colour and seasonal spirit. We can't wait to see adventurers young and old discover the wonders that await them."
