Join us for a screening of ‘Gentle, Angry Women’, the latest documentary by award-winning Cornish film company Awen Productions.

Following a sold-out premiere, the film is returning for its 2026 tour of venues across the South West, featuring live Q&As with Director Barbara Santi.

‘Gentle, Angry Women’ follows the empowering story of three young women as they retrace the march to Greenham Common, forty years on from the first Women’s Peace Protests.

This coming-of-age documentary, driven by intergenerational dialogue, speaks to the need for action and change in our fractured world. Gentle, Angry Women invites viewers to witness how historical activism resonates with today’s generation; a bridge between past courage and present hope.

“In a time when young people are grappling with the climate crisis, global conflicts, and technological isolation, they need to see how previous generations of ‘gentle, angry women’ faced seemingly impossible odds and refused to give up.”
Early audiences have found the film to be an inspiring watch.

“A really humbling story of collective women’s activism and a roller coaster of emotions for the audience.”

“Powerful, poetic, and unapologetically bold.”

The film’s director Barbara Santi will be facilitating a Q&A following the screening, inviting the audience to discuss the key themes and hear about the behind the scenes process of creating the film.
