International Mining and Pasty Festival – Redruth

Redruth’s International Mining and Pasty Festival returns for three days of celebrations, heritage, and of course, pasties.

  • Friday 19th September: Storytelling walk from the Tin Miner Statue (4:30pm) to Wheal Uny Mines with guides from Cobweb Tours. The mine stacks will be smoked in tribute to mining communities, including twinned towns in the USA, France and Mexico.

  • Saturday 20th September: Market stalls, performances on the main stage, an exhibition on poet John Harris, and heritage talks at Wesley Chapel. Crimping demonstration and competition with Etherington’s at 11:40am. Pasty Competitions judged at 3pm in the Buttermarket, with Kernow King on the panel. Workshops throughout the day with Pasty Box CIC.

  • Sunday 21st September: Pilgrimage walk from Wheal Basset Stamps (10am) to Wheal Uny Mines, led by Rev Becca Bell, followed by a service at St Euny Church. Pasties served for lunch.
