The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival returns for its third year with a full pirate theme, bringing 18 performances across 18 hours of live music at the southernmost tip of mainland Britain.
Friday 5th September – From 6pm (opening with the Lizard Crier at 5.50pm)
Acts include Mullion School Choir, Tim Hague, ACappella Moonshine, Baldricks Plan, The Oggymen, and The Rough Cuts.
Saturday 6th September – Doors open 11am (opening with LAFTA at noon)
Acts include Culdrose Military Wives, Odds ‘N’ Sods, Landewednack Primary, Whippletree, Month’s Advance, Sudden Squall, Cadgwith Singers, The Nankersey Male Choir, Loose Cannons, Lemonaires – Men of Cornwall, The Press Gang, and Will Keating & Friends.
Highlights include the 2pm Pirate Parade led by Pilchard the Pirate, Kids Pirate Parade, meet-and-greet with RNLI mascot Stormy Stan, and a special appearance by local legend Betty Stogs.

Funds raised will support The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station, The Lizard Community Fund, and Landewednack School. The event will be accessible, with improvements guided by Access Cornwall.
