Quiet Connections CIC is hosting a free Quiet Hearts maker gathering at Create Contemporary Crafts Hub in Camborne on Saturday 16th May, from 11am to 1pm.
More than 800 handmade hearts have already been stitched, felted and pom-pommed together by the Quiet Connections community. Now they’re working to reach 1,000, for a public art installation that will form the centrepiece of HushFest, Cornwall’s first festival of quietness, opening on Saturday 4th July 2026.
Each heart is made using wool, felt or fabric scraps. There’s no set pattern, no expected level of experience, and participants can take part at their own pace.
The sessions are open to anyone who identifies as introverted, shy or highly sensitive. People can also make hearts at home and post them in by Friday 5th June.
