Penzance will mark St Piran’s Day, the national day of Cornwall, with a lively St Piran Furry dance through the town. Over 500 schoolchildren will take part, dancing from Causewayhead to Morrab Gardens, where they will sing ‘Trelawny’ before continuing to St John’s Hall for a well-earned saffron bun. The Mayor of Penzance and the Town Crier will join the procession.
