A Calm Christmas Experience
The grotto is set up to provide an accessible experience for all. Every attendee books a slot, removing the need for queuing and allowing sole use of the grotto throughout their visit.
Organisers said:
“Our magical Christmas grotto offers the chance to visit Santa in a calm and quiet environment. They get to visit Santa, see his magic and take away a gift.”
Santa himself has plenty of experience, having appeared across Cornwall and Devon and even at weddings. The grotto prides itself on being suitable for all children on the SEN spectrum, giving them opportunities they may otherwise miss.
This year, an adult-only grotto experience has also been added, giving parents and carers the chance to relive their childhood.
More details are available at Beat 4 Autism.

Secret Santa Spreading Cheer
Alongside the grotto, Beat 4 Autism also runs a community Secret Santa.
“We recognised that many feel at a loss around the festive period. We wanted people to feel appreciated and cared for — so we launched our Secret Santa.”
A donation box and nomination box are placed in the shop, with volunteers delivering donated gifts to people in the community on Christmas Eve.
Beat 4 Autism said they are proud to have started their Secret Santa, and that the wider community has since taken on the tradition, continuing to lift spirits during the festive season.
