Christmas Eve Midnight Mass and Christingle Services Across Cornwall
Christmas Eve has long been a special part of Christmas for many people in Cornwall, with churches across the county welcoming communities for services that range from lively, family focused celebrations to quieter moments of reflection late into the night.
From Christingle and crib services earlier in the evening to the stillness of Midnight Mass, there are plenty of opportunities to pause before Christmas Day begins. Below is a guide to services taking place across Cornwall this Wednesday, 24th December.
Falmouth and Surrounding Villages
Festivities begin earlier in the day in Falmouth, with choirs from across Cornwall gathering at The Five’s Cyderhouse at 10.30am. From there, they will process through the town singing traditional Merritt’s Carols, finishing at The Moor at around 1pm.

Many of these services are open to everyone, whether you attend church regularly or are simply looking for a peaceful way to mark Christmas Eve. Christingle and crib services are particularly popular with families, while Midnight Mass offers a quieter end to the day as Christmas begins.
