Cornwall Christmas Fair 2024 At The Eden Project: Festive Shopping and Charity Support
Tickets are now available for the Cornwall Christmas Fair, set to take place at the Eden Project on Thursday, 28th November. Known as one of Cornwall’s most popular festive fundraising events, the fair offers a unique blend of shopping, food, and entertainment, all while supporting local charities through the Cornwall Community Foundation. A special Preview & Shopping Evening will also be held the night before on Wednesday, 27th November.
Shop and Support Local Causes
This year’s fair will feature over 60 stalls showcasing products from independent makers both within and outside Cornwall. Shoppers can expect to find gift ideas, home accessories, wellness products, and artisan food and drink, with a percentage of all profits going to support communities across Cornwall. Last year’s event raised almost £80,000, benefiting local organisations like The Women’s Centre Cornwall, Young & Talented Cornwall, St Petrocs, The Oasis Centre, and ClayTAWC.
With a diverse range of vendors, there will be something for everyone. Highlights include artwork from renowned Cornish potter and artist Paul Jackson, meaningful home gifts from Gone Rural, and sophisticated handmade jewellery by Chloe Michell. Visitors will also have the chance to enjoy festive treats from The Cornwall Bakery Food Hall, including Baker Tom’s Christmas breads and mince pies, fruit liqueurs from The Oxton Liqueur Company, and chocolates from SugarSpice.
A Festive Preview Evening
The fair kicks off with a Preview & Shopping Evening on Wednesday, 27th November, starting at 5pm. Guests will be welcomed with a selection of festive cocktails, including the Porthilly Spirit Pomegranate Mule, Cornish Gin & Tonic, and a non-alcoholic Ruby Spritz.
A new addition this year is the hand-painted Cornwall Christmas Fair Bauble, designed by Cornish artist Diane Griffiths. The baubles are priced at £12.50 each, with discounts available for bulk purchases. They are sponsored by long-time supporter Lillicrap Chilcott.
Returning for 2024 is The Great Coodes Christmas Cake Stand, featuring a wide selection of home-baked festive cakes and bakes made by cooks from across Cornwall.
Prizes and More
Co-chair Kate Holborow promises some exciting prizes at this year’s Grand Prize Draw, including a £1000 Selfridges voucher and a Howard Milton oil painting. There’s also The Rodda’s Cornish Pot of Gold Hunt, where the winner will enjoy a swim at The Headland Hotel’s Aqua Club, followed by a full afternoon tea for four.
With last year’s event selling out early, it’s advised to book your tickets in advance. Tickets for the Day Fair on 28th November are priced at £20, which includes lunch, a glass of wine, and free entry to the Eden Project. Tickets for the Preview & Shopping Evening on 27th November are £32, which includes supper and a drink upon arrival.
