Cornwall Gold’s Christmas Market Attracts 5,700 Visitors
Cornwall Gold has reported its busiest festive event yet, drawing 5,700 visitors to its heritage attraction from 4th to 7th December.
Bigger Market, More Local Makers
Following the success of their first Christmas market in 2024, Cornwall Gold expanded the offering for 2025. This year brought together 51 vendors, showcasing everything from Tan Dowr’s locally produced vodka to artwork by creators including Jimaginations and Kernow Coast Creative.
Choirs, Father Christmas and Festive Fun
Community played a central part in the four day event. Five choir groups performed across the market, including Treleigh School, Redruth School, Red River Singers and St Erth School. Father Christmas also appeared daily, meeting children and encouraging them to write and post their Christmas wish list letters.
Shopping Amid Cornish History
Stalls were set throughout the attraction, giving visitors the chance to shop while surrounded by the site’s heritage before touring the Grade II listed Tolgus Mill. The jewellery showroom also saw a notable boost, reporting an 80 percent increase in sales across the four days. The Pantry added to the experience with its award winning food and drink.
Praise From Cornwall Gold
Managing Director Mike Taylor said:
“We are completely blown away by the success of our second Christmas market. Several of our national team were onsite for the event to support our local team and it’s been a total joy to see the community come together. From artisan producers to local choir groups, families, friends and more, the positive response has been overwhelming and we are now firmly committed to ensuring our Christmas Market, in the heart of Cornwall, becomes an annual affair.”
By Shelly Lee added: “Brilliant event, once again you put on the best Christmas market of the season!! A huge thank you to all for all your effort and hard work.”
Easy Access and Free Entry
With free parking, free entry, free activities, indoor shopping and a location just off the A30, Cornwall Gold says the Christmas market continues to set itself apart.
