Father Christmas and Stormy Sam to Light Up Newlyn Harbour This December

Friday 6th December promises a magical evening in Newlyn as Father Christmas and the RNLI’s Stormy Sam join forces aboard the Penlee Lifeboat ‘Ivan Ellen’ for the grand switch-on of the Newlyn Harbour Lights.

A Spectacular Arrival

Father Christmas and Stormy Sam will arrive at Newlyn Harbour at 6:30pm. They’ll be making a memorable entrance alongside the Pendeen Pilot Gig Club CIO, who will accompany the lifeboat in their beautifully decorated gigs. The event, filled with festive cheer, is set to brighten the harbour with the stunning 2024 lights display.

Entrance Details and Important Information

To ensure everyone’s safety and compliance with event insurance stipulations, entrance to the switch-on area at Newlyn Harbour will be strictly through the main entrance gate next to the offices. Attendees are reminded that:

• Free tickets must be picked up at the main gate for each member of your group.
• No other public access points will be available for the event.

The gate system allows organisers to count attendees, meeting insurance conditions.

A Special Opportunity for Children

Children attending will have an extra reason to smile as free raffle tickets for the chance to switch on the 2024 harbour lights will be handed out at the main gate on entrance.
