Father Christmas is set to make a grand return to the Eden Project this festive season, bringing with him a brand-new theatrical experience that promises to be bigger than ever before.

The all-new immersive journey runs on select dates between November 22nd and December 24th, inviting visitors to explore a treasure trove of festive wonder and timeless traditions. Each child will have the chance to meet Father Christmas and take home a special keepsake that captures the magic of Christmas.

Eden Lights Up for the Season

Late openings between November 21st and January 4th will give visitors a chance to see Eden transformed into a sparkling botanical wonderland. The Christmas at the Eden Project experience will see the enormous Biomes illuminated like giant baubles, with twinkling lights winding through the gardens.

Each Biome offers something different. The Mediterranean Biome will host a showstopping music and light display filled with classic festive cheer, while the Rainforest Biome will feature dramatic illuminations that snake and dangle amongst the tropical plants, accompanied by powerful music.

Ice Skating, Festive Feasts and More

Eden’s glittering ice rink also returns this year, offering bookable skating sessions, lessons and dedicated toddler play times. After a spin on the ice, visitors can refuel at one of the cafes or enjoy a luxurious three-course Christmas lunch in the Mediterranean Biome.

Simon Townsend, general manager at the Eden Project, said:

“This is my favourite time of year at Eden. We invest a huge amount of time and energy into creating a magical Christmas extravaganza. We have our biggest ever Father Christmas experience taking place in a new location in the Core, the Biomes are always showstopping and the ice rink is the cherry on top.”

Cornwall Christmas Fair Returns

The Cornwall Christmas Fair will also return on November 19th and 20th, featuring over 60 stalls from independent makers and retailers. Last year’s event raised nearly £70,000 for local charities through the Cornwall Community Foundation.
