Falmouth BID Launches After 5 Campaign to Support Evening Economy

Published On: 23 September 2025Last Updated: 23 September 2025By

A new campaign is set to shine a light on Falmouth’s evening economy this autumn. Falmouth After 5, launched by Falmouth BID, is encouraging residents, students, and visitors to make the most of the town’s nightlife. From food and drink to live music, culture, and entertainment, organisers say there’s something for everyone after dark.

Spotlight on Falmouth Nights

The campaign highlights the wide mix of independent businesses in the town, ranging from pubs and cocktail bars to family-friendly restaurants, live music venues, and creative spaces. Each offers something unique, but together they form a lively and welcoming night-time scene.

Falmouth BID Manager Keren Cooksey said:
“Falmouth After 5 is about celebrating and supporting our evening economy, which plays such an important role in the life of the town. With so many fantastic businesses, venues, and events to enjoy, we want to highlight Falmouth’s vibrant nightlife, whether that’s for a drink after work, dinner with friends, or a night of live music. Launching First Friday as part of the campaign adds another layer of excitement and gives everyone a chance to discover something new in Falmouth each month.”

First Fridays Launch in October

As part of the campaign, local businesses will be taking part in First Fridays, beginning on Friday 3rd October and continuing on the first Friday of every month until March. These evenings will feature exclusive deals, special menus, and events, giving people an extra reason to head into town after 5pm.

Toby Lamb, owner of The Shed, said:
“It’s been a tough time for hospitality businesses, so it’s fantastic to see a unified approach from Falmouth’s nighttime venues. First Friday is a chance for us all to support one another while celebrating everything the town has to offer after dark. We’re excited to be part of something that brings the community together and showcases the best of Falmouth.”
