A woman from Falmouth is celebrating after appearing on the cover of Slimming World Magazine’s special March/April 2026 issue.

Shenah Rose, 37, has lost 4st 10.5lbs since joining her local Slimming World group in August 2022. She went from 15 stone 6lbs to 10 stone 10lbs and has now dropped from a size 18 to 20 to a size 10 to 12.

The March/April 2026 edition is on sale in Slimming World groups now and will be available on newsstands from today, Thursday 12th February.

A Life Changed in Three Years

Shenah says life was very different three and a half years ago. She felt unhappy with her size and said her confidence was at rock bottom before deciding to join her local group in August 2022.

She said: “I’d battled with my weight for most of my life, certainly since my teens. Being overweight had an impact on so many aspects of my life – I struggled with my hormones, getting pregnant and knew I needed to do something as it was really affecting my confidence and self-esteem. I wanted to make a good example for my daughters.”

Although nervous at first, Shenah described joining as the best decision she has ever made.

She said: “Everyone was so friendly – especially my Consultant Bev. The group is so supportive and always there to pick you up and remind you how far you’ve come when you’ve had a tough week – it’s like I’ve got my own bunch of cheerleaders, who all understand what it’s like to lose weight.”

From Hiding Away to the Front Cover

Shenah says her weight loss has transformed how she feels about herself.

“I used to dread going shopping for clothes as I’d struggle to find clothes that fit me and would only wear dark and baggy clothes. Now I love going shopping and I’ve even treated myself to a whole new, more colourful, wardrobe,” she said.

She added: “I also used to hate having my photo taken before and would always hide away from the camera, but I felt so confident and proud of myself at the photoshoot. I loved every moment – I still can’t believe I’m on the cover of Slimming World Magazine!”

Shenah followed Slimming World’s healthy eating plan, Food Optimising, swapping convenience food and high calorie snacks for meals including Mexican pulled chicken, rainbow salads and campfire stew.

She said: “Before joining, I was worried I’d have to give up my favourite foods and go hungry, because that’s what I’d always done when I tried to lose weight in the past, but the plan is so flexible that I can still enjoy all of my favourites, just cooked in a healthier way – and delicious big portions too.”

Special Edition With Free Gifts

The March/April 2026 issue includes a UK covermount in collaboration with healthy recipe box delivery service Slimming World Kitchen.

UK readers will receive a free recipe mini magazine featuring 10 recipes, a peri peri spice blend sachet and £10 off their first Slimming World Kitchen box. The issue also includes 95 recipes, mix and match meal plans, budget friendly food guides, eight real life stories including Shenah’s, and practical weight loss advice.

Shenah said she regularly uses the magazine for inspiration.

“I love trying out the new recipes from each issue of the magazine and picking up ideas and advice. Bit by bit I’ve got a whole new, healthy lifestyle. I’ve now started enjoying beach days with my children without shying away from wearing a swimming cossie in public. It’s incredible to think I might be able to inspire other readers in the same way the magazine has helped me. I was so excited seeing myself on the cover when I got my copy!”

Local Group Information

Bev Dobell, who runs the Falmouth Slimming World group, said: “Looking after ourselves and our health has never been more important. And the changes Shenah has made week after week has proven how making small and simple changes to your lifestyle can have a significant impact on your weight and health. I’m so excited she’s now not only featured in Slimming World Magazine, but starring on the cover too!

“I hope Shenah’s success will inspire other people in Falmouth who’d like to lose weight, improve their health and form new lifestyle habits for life to take the leap. There really is no better time than now!”

The Falmouth group meets every Wednesday at 5pm and 7pm at Falmouth Bowling Club.
