Falmouth Sixth Form is marking a major milestone after announcing a 100% pass rate across all Level 3 qualifications for 2025. The news has been met with pride and celebration among students, families, and staff.

A Day of Results and Recognition

On Thursday 14th August, students at Falmouth School Sixth Form received their A-Level and Level 3 vocational results in an atmosphere of excitement, surrounded by family members, carers, teachers, and friends. The school says the perfect pass rate reflects the hard work of students, the support of their families, and the dedication of staff.

Among the standout successes this year were Fergus, who achieved an A in Geography, Isabelle, who secured a B in Maths, and Sasha, who gained a Distinction+. Students on the Plymouth Argyle Football programme also excelled, achieving an average grade of Merit+.

Many students will now move into the second year of their A-Level studies, while others on vocational pathways are heading into employment or further training.

Exciting Next Steps

Leavers are also celebrating impressive future plans. Lucas will study Football Science, while Sasha will pursue Football Coaching, Development, and Administration, which includes an exciting placement in the United States.

Headteacher Mrs. Guest said:

“It’s been a privilege to watch our students grow in confidence and skill over the past year. Whether they are progressing into Year 13, heading to university, starting an apprenticeship or stepping into the world of work, they do so with qualifications that reflect their hard work and commitment. My thanks go to our incredible staff, supportive families and the wider community, all of whom play such an important role in enabling our young people to flourish. Today is a day of pride, celebration and excitement for the future.”

Head of Sixth Form Mr. Christophers added:

“I am incredibly proud of all the students at Falmouth School Sixth Form. The hard work they’ve put in throughout their time with us has been truly inspiring, and I’m delighted with their results. It’s a great joy to see them develop into the mature young adults they are today and secure the places they wanted for their next step. Having taught many of them since they were 11, watching them prepare for this next chapter in their lives is a wonderful experience. I wish every single one of them the very best of luck in their future endeavours and hope they’ll keep in touch to let us know how they’re getting on.”

Continuing a Strong Track Record

This year’s results build on Falmouth School and Sixth Form’s high standards, following a Good Ofsted rating across all areas, including Quality of education, Behaviour and attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and management, and Sixth form provision. Inspectors noted that sixth form provision reflects improvements made to the curriculum, with qualifications tailored to students’ needs and strong support for ambitious next steps.

The school has also thanked parents, carers, and the local community for their role in creating a nurturing environment that has contributed greatly to student success.
