Harbour Lights Marks 25 Years in Falmouth with Week of Celebrations

Falmouth’s Harbour Lights Restaurant is marking 25 years this September with a week of celebrations, giveaways, and community spirit.

The much-loved fish & chip restaurant, which first opened in 1999, has become a cornerstone of Falmouth’s food scene. To celebrate the milestone, the team has planned a packed birthday week with fun for all ages.

What’s Happening During the Birthday Week

  • Treasure Hunt – QR codes will be hidden around Falmouth. Anyone who finds and scans one will get £10 off at Harbour Lights. Clues will be shared on the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

  • Golden Fish Hunt – On Friday 19th September (or “Fry-YAY”), a shiny golden fish will be hidden somewhere in Falmouth. The finder will win fish & chips for a whole year.

  • Free Hot Sides – On Tuesday 23rd September, every order will include free hot sides.

  • Kids Eat Free – On Wednesday 24th September, children can dine free in the restaurant all day.

  • Cornish Hake for Charity – Throughout the week, Harbour Lights will serve Cornish hake in their light, crispy batter. For every portion sold, £1 will go to Falmouth-based charity Dracaena Centre, which supports families, young people, and the wider community.

25 Years by the Sea

Owners Pete and Sue Fraser reflected on the milestone, saying:

“We can’t quite believe it’s been 25 years already! From our very first day, we’ve been proud to be part of Falmouth’s community, and we’re so grateful to all of our wonderful customers, suppliers, and staff who have supported us along the way. This week’s celebrations are our way of saying thank you – and we can’t wait to see everyone join in the fun.”

A Staff Celebration

After a busy summer season and the packed birthday week, Harbour Lights will close early at 5pm on Saturday 27th September for a staff party.
