Is This the Creepiest Spider in Cornwall? Falmouth’s Giant Halloween Display Aims for World Record
Something spooky is stirring in Falmouth this Halloween, as the team behind the Boslowick Halloween Fundraiser has created what could be Cornwall’s largest spider – and possibly a new world record holder.
A World Record Attempt in Falmouth
The group has submitted a formal application to the Guinness World Records for the Largest Outdoor Halloween Spider Decoration, after building a giant spider that stands over 3 metres tall, with eight legs spanning 5 metres each.
The towering creature forms part of their annual Halloween display at 136 Boslowick Road, Falmouth, which has become a local tradition over the past four years.
Supporting Animal Rescue in Cornwall
The Boslowick Halloween Fundraiser isn’t just about spooky fun. Each year, the display helps raise vital funds for The Last Chance Hotel, a Cornwall-based animal rescue charity dedicated to rehabilitating abused and neglected animals.
The team hopes this year’s record-breaking spider will draw even more visitors and donations to support the cause.
Visit If You Dare
Visitors are invited to see the spider up close and experience the Halloween display for themselves at 136 Boslowick Road.
Those who wish to support the fundraiser can do so through their JustGiving page
