Man Suffers Serious Injuries After Early Morning Assault in Falmouth

Police appeal for witnesses after shocking attack on The Moor

An investigation has been launched following a serious assault on a man in Falmouth in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The incident was reported to have happened between 2.30am and 3am on Thursday 1st May on The Moor in Falmouth.

The victim, who sustained serious head and facial injuries, was taken to hospital where he remains.

Group believed to be involved

According to Detective Sergeant Alex Fisher, the victim has limited recollection of the assault but believes a group of people attacked him.

Alex said: “The victim does not have much recollection of the incident but remembers there was a group of people who he believes assaulted him.”

Police seeking key witnesses

Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or assisted the victim to come forward, as they could hold vital information.

Alex added: “We are aware that someone or more than one person may have stopped to assist the victim at the scene and would ask that they make themselves known to us. They may have vital information that would help with our enquiries.”
