Roskilly’s Farm Welcomes Adorable New Piglets

Published On: 19 January 2024Last Updated: 19 January 2024By

Roskilly’s, the well-known working Cornish Organic Farm located on the picturesque southern tip of Cornwall, has announced a delightful addition to its family – a new litter of piglets. In a recent Facebook post, Roskilly’s invited the public to visit the farm, open on Saturdays and Sundays during January.

Roskilly’s Farm, with a history spanning over 60 years, has been a staple in the Cornwall community since Joe and Rachel inherited it in 1950. Initially famous for its delicious Clotted Cream, the farm has expanded its offerings over the decades, including developing cottages in the 60s, starting ice cream production in the late 80s, and opening The Croust House restaurant in 1993. By 2009, the farm achieved its ambition to use only its own milk and cream for all ice cream production.

Visitors to Roskilly’s can not only enjoy the scenic beauty of the farm but also interact with a diverse array of animals. The farm is home to calves, goats, pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, chickens, and more. The newly arrived piglets join the farm’s growing menagerie.

The quails, known for their elusive egg-hiding, and the goats, always planning their next escape, add to the charm of Roskilly’s. The farm encourages visitors to feed the animals with bags available from the Croust House, offering a fun and interactive experience for families and animal lovers.

Roskilly’s continual expansion means there’s always something new to see, making each visit unique. Their commitment to organic farming and maintaining a diverse and expanding farmyard family makes Roskilly’s not just a farm, but a destination for those seeking to connect with nature and enjoy the simple pleasures of farm life.

As the farm welcomes these new piglets, it remains a testament to the enduring charm and appeal of rural life in Cornwall, inviting visitors to create lasting memories and enjoy the best of what the countryside has to offer.
