Quiz Night with Petroc Trelawny and Richard Sisson in Fowey

A pair of well known performers are heading to Fowey for a one off quiz night packed with music, puzzles and conversation.

A Star Duo on Stage

Broadcaster Petroc Trelawny and musician and composer Richard Sisson will host the event at Fowey Town Hall on Friday 5th December from 7.30pm to 9pm.

The evening promises music, brain teasers, quizzes and chat, bringing together two figures with long careers in broadcasting and the arts.

Petroc grew up on The Lizard and attended Helston School. He began his career with Radio Devon as a presenter and reporter before joining Classic FM and later BBC Radio 3 in 1998. His work has included many highlights, such as presenting live TV coverage of the 2025 Cenotaph Remembrance service. His first book, Trelawny’s Cornwall, was published last year.

Richard is known for composing music for Alan Bennett’s plays The History Boys and Lady in the Van, performing as a pianist at the Proms and performing as one half of the musical duo Kit & the Widow with the late Kit Hesketh Harvey.

What the Festival Says

“Petroc Trelawny and Richard Sisson are both huge talents in their own right and to have both of them on stage together in Fowey is amazing,” said Brenda Daly, Festival Director for the du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival.

“We hope as many people as possible will come along and support what is undoubtedly a great opportunity to have some quizzing fun in the company of stars.”

Fundraiser for the 2026 Festival

The quiz night is a fundraising event for the 2026 du Maurier Fowey Literary Festival, which runs from 1st to 9th May.
