This Earth Day, April 22nd, 2024, Beryl, in partnership with local authorities, is encouraging residents of Cornwall to explore their towns in a new, eco-friendly way. For one day only, all riders can enjoy a free 15-minute ride on any Beryl bike, e-bike, e-scooter, or e-cargo bike available in scheme areas including St Austell, Newquay, Truro, Falmouth, and Penzance.

Revolutionising Transport

Phil, CEO and co-founder of Beryl, emphasises the importance of sustainable transport in combating climate change. “Our vehicles, powered by human energy or electricity, support the aims of Earth Day and play a significant role in reducing the carbon footprint of the UK’s transport system,” he stated. With longer days and warmer weather on the horizon, there’s no better time to reduce your carbon footprint and try a sustainable mode of transport.

Easy Access and Safety First

To participate, simply download the free Beryl app from the App Store or Google Play Store. E-scooter enthusiasts will need a valid UK Driving Licence. All Beryl e-scooters comply with the highest safety standards as approved by the Department for Transport (DfT) and can be ridden on roads, cycle lanes, and carriageways, but not on pavements. Feedback from riders is encouraged to further enhance the service.
