Fatal Incident After Tree Falls on Caravan Near Helston

Emergency services were called to the Mawgan area near Helston on the evening of Thursday 8th January after a tree fell onto a caravan.

Emergency response

The call was made at around 7.35pm. Crews attended the scene in the Mawgan area where the caravan had been struck by the fallen tree.

Work continued at the location on Friday 9th January to safely remove the tree and allow further enquiries to take place.

Man found deceased

During the work at the scene, a man aged in his 50s was located deceased inside the caravan. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Coroner to be informed

The death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
