Police Continue Work to Tackle Antisocial Behaviour in Helston
Police have increased their presence in Helston following community concerns about antisocial behaviour.
Targeted Patrols Across Key Areas
Officers have been carrying out both foot and vehicle patrols around Deer Park, Sika Drive and Fallow Road, after reports of antisocial behaviour in these areas.
Proactive work has also included visits to local schools, where officers have been delivering presentations to help educate and deter young people from becoming involved in offences.
“We Understand ASB Remains a Concern”
Police Sergeant Chris Vincent said: “Whilst the number of incidents reported to us remain low in these areas, we understand that ASB remains a concern for members of our community.”
“The incidents we are investigating involve information about drivers racing their vehicles, individuals spotted smoking suspected cannabis and one report of graffiti.”
Police Urge Residents to Report Concerns
Emphasising the importance of community reporting, Chris added: “To help us help you, we really need you to report any ASB you see. If you don’t tell us, we can’t do anything about it.
“Reporting is simple – you can do it on our website, by calling 101, or chatting to an officer about it when you see them. If you’ve put information on social media, please don’t assume we’ll see this – always use the official channels to report.
“What you tell us is key in helping plan our patrols so that we have the best chance of identifying and deterring offenders. Thank you.”
You can report antisocial behaviour online via the Devon & Cornwall Police website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always call 999.
