A Unique Retreat on the Isles of Scilly
This March, Tresco, a serene escape in the Isles of Scilly, will host its inaugural Festival of Wellness, running from the 14th to the 22nd. Promising a rejuvenating week of activities, the event is designed to nurture mind, body, and soul as winter transitions into spring.
The week-long programme features workshops and classes led by renowned wellness practitioners and local experts, ensuring a truly unique experience in one of the UK’s most breathtaking island settings.
Activities for Every Wellness Journey
Guests can immerse themselves in a rich variety of activities, suitable for all abilities:
- Mindful Meditation: Led by island yogi Gem Hansen.
- Trail Runs: Explore the island’s stunning landscapes with ultrarunner Wez Swain.
- Garden Experiences: Discover tranquillity with Andrew Lawson, Head Gardener of Tresco Abbey Garden.
Agnes Chapman Wills, Event Coordinator, emphasised the island’s natural connection to wellness:
“As any regular visitors will know, Tresco lends itself perfectly to wellness. Here, we are surrounded by the elements, are guided by the rhythm of the tides and are part of a landscape that is simultaneously dramatic and peaceful.
“The Festival of Wellness will offer guests a wonderful programme of events, in turn showcasing how we can benefit from nature and find tranquillity in our busy world.”
Relax and Recharge with the Tresco Lifestyle
Beyond the structured activities, attendees can enjoy laid-back beach walks, scenic bike rides, and delicious meals at local favourites like the Ruin Beach Café and The New Inn. Accommodation includes access to the world-famous Tresco Abbey Garden and the island’s tranquil spa, adding an extra layer of luxury to the experience.

Visitors can choose from a variety of cosy options, including rooms at The New Inn or self-catering cottages and apartments. Prices for the event start at £15 per class, with a seven-night stay at The New Inn available from £1,624 for two sharing.
