‘Chief’ Joins the Ranks: Martin Moloney Signs Short-Term Loan with Cornish Pirates
Loan Arrival at The Mennaye
The Cornish Pirates have bolstered their backrow options with the arrival of Irish forward Martin Moloney, who has joined on a short-term loan from Exeter Chiefs.
Martin, who hails from Kildare, Ireland, is 25 years old and began the season with the Chiefs after transferring from United Rugby Championship side Leinster. Before his professional career, he played for Athy RFC and Old Belvedere RFC.
Pre-Season Familiarity
Fans may already recognise Martin from his appearances in pre-season friendlies at Sandy Park. During these matches, he faced the Cornish Pirates as well as teams like Ospreys and Ulster, gaining valuable experience ahead of his move to Cornwall.
The addition of Martin promises to strengthen the Cornish Pirates’ squad as they continue their campaign at the Mennaye Field.
