Morgan Nelson, born in Ross-on-Wye, has a strong background in rugby, having played age-grade rugby for Wales. Before joining the Cornish Pirates, Morgan was part of the BUCS Super Rugby team at Cardiff Metropolitan University (Cardiff Met), and also competed in the Welsh Championship.

Impressive Performance Record

Morgan first registered with the Cornish Pirates near the end of the 2021/22 campaign, making two appearances for the club. Over the past two years, he has signed contracts with the Pirates, accumulating a total of 41 games. During this period, he has scored an impressive 26 tries, including 16 this season, making him the top try-scorer.

Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach, Alan Paver, praised Morgan’s development and performance. Alan highlighted Morgan’s transformation from a university player to a seasoned Championship performer.
