Woman Seriously Injured in Launceston Collision

Police are appealing for information after a serious collision in Launceston left an elderly woman in hospital.

Collision on Link Road

Emergency services were called at 11.35am on Wednesday 17th September following a collision between a black Volkswagen Golf and an 85-year-old pedestrian. The incident happened on Link Road near the Western Road Roundabout.

The woman, who is from Launceston, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Road Closures and Investigation

The road was closed for more than five hours while officers carried out investigative work and examined the scene. Roads policing officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
