Early Bird registration is now open for the seventh UK Mining Conference, returning to the Princess Pavilion in Falmouth on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June 2026.

Created in 2019 by Cornish Lithium and hosted by Jay One Events, the conference brings together people from across mining, exploration and mineralogy for two days of talks, workshops and networking in Cornwall.

A Growing International Event

The UK Mining Conference has expanded into what organisers describe as a significant gathering for sustainable mining, investment and energy innovation.

Jane Isaacs, Managing Director of Jay One Events, said, “The UK Mining Conference has grown to become one of the most influential sustainable mining, investment and energy innovation conferences in the UK, attracting more than 500 delegates from 18 countries this year.”

Jane explained that the event now spans a full week. Alongside the main two-day conference, 2026 will include a Geothermal Forum, a Geologists’ Workshop, an Inside Mining Seminar and a new Investors’ Congress on the Tuesday, as well as site visits to Cornish mining projects on the Monday and Friday.

She added, “Non-stop presentations, exhibitions, evening drinks and networking suppers with a focus on Cornish cuisine and culture bring together like-minded individuals to deliberate on the responsible extraction of the metals and minerals that enrich the UK’s geology with a view to securing domestic supplies to meet future demand as we transition from fossil fuels to electrification. The conference also highlights the pivotal importance of the mining industry’s resurgence, builds confidence in UK industry and encourages investment that will unlock economic potential from Cornwall to Aberdeen. Demand will be high and places are limited, so early registration is advised.”

What to Expect in 2026

Speakers are invited to present projects that focus on extracting high-value mineral deposits, strengthening supply chains, improving infrastructure, supporting communities and showcasing new technology. Investment opportunities will also form part of the programme.

Expert moderator Mark Cutifani CBE, former CEO of Anglo American and chairman of the energy transition metals board at Vale Base Metals, will lead a panel discussion. He will put questions to mining engineers to examine current challenges, explore solutions and encourage collaboration.

A Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony featuring after-dinner speaker Mark Steel will close the event.

Cornwall’s Role in Critical Minerals

Jeremy Wrathall, Founder and Executive Chairman of Cornish Lithium, said, “This conference highlights the interest in developing critical minerals in the UK and the necessity of those critical minerals for batteries and all the elements of modern society. The fact that people from all over the world attend is an excellent endorsement of just how important this event has become not just for Cornwall but for the whole of the UK.”
