Something Big is Coming to Looe in April 2025 – A Festival Like No Other!
A month-long celebration of community, heritage, and the environment is set to take over the Looe Valleys in April 2025. The “We are of this place – A’n tyller ma on ni” festival is being organised by a collaboration of town and parish councils, local community groups, and individuals who want to showcase the unique character of the East and West Looe Valleys.
A Festival for Everyone
With events planned throughout the month, the festival will offer something for all ages and interests. Residents will have the chance to take part, contribute, and learn, with activities run by local groups and co-ordinated by volunteers.
The diverse programme is expected to include:
- Guided walks exploring the beauty of the area
- Local produce and craft markets featuring regional talent
- Regenerative farming and climate change discussions
- Storytelling sessions bringing local tales to life
- A rockpool ramble and coastal events
- Water quality awareness activities focused on local rivers
- Traditional Easter celebrations in village halls and churches
How to Get Involved
Organisers are working on setting up a webpage and email address to gather ideas, suggestions, and offers of help. Details will be shared on community social media pages and village websites, so residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for updates.
With the festival set to bring the community together like never before, April 2025 promises to be an exciting time for those living in the Looe Valleys.
