Cornish Attraction’s AI Train Song Hits Spotify – Could It Steam Ahead in the Charts?

A much-loved family attraction in Cornwall is swapping train track for a musical track, as it announces the release of its first ever single written and produced by AI.

Lappa Valley, near St Newlyn East, has released the song “Rolling through Lappa with you” on popular streaming platforms including Spotify, as well as on smart speakers such as Amazon Echo.

The track was originally created in February as a Valentine’s present for the attraction’s 13 locomotives.

A Valentine’s Song for the Engines

Matt Bunt from Lappa Valley explained:
“We have thirteen locomotives across three railways here at Lappa Valley, and we’re incredibly fond of them all as are thousands of Lappa fans. Each engine has their own personality, and every Valentine’s Day we like to do something to show them how we feel.

“However, we’re train drivers with oily and sooty hands; not prolific romantics. That’s why we turned to AI to write and produce us a song to show our feelings.”

An edited version of the song was first shared on Lappa Valley’s social media platforms back in February and quickly developed a following.

30,000 Views and Counting

“The video has had over 30,000 views, and we had feedback from lots of Lappa fans about how much they enjoy listening to the song. That’s why we decided to release it as a single, and make it easier for people to listen to,” Matt continued.

Now available on streaming platforms, the song is eligible to be included in the official UK charts.

Aiming for the Top

“We’d love to be in a position to give Taylor Swift a run for her money!” Matt added.

“Rolling through Lappa With You” can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Deezer.
