The Record Shack – Cornwall Announces an Exciting Year of Record Fairs Across the South West
After a period of quiet due to a walkabout in Devon, Dorset, and Somerset, The Record Shack – Cornwall is set to make a vibrant return to the scene with an ambitious schedule of record fairs planned across the South West of England, spanning nearly every weekend through to December.
The announcement promises a year filled with opportunities for vinyl enthusiasts and collectors to explore a treasure trove of quality vintage records.
Easter Weekend Extravaganza
Kicking off the series of events, The Record Shack will be making appearances at two prestigious events this coming Easter weekend. On Easter Friday and Saturday, the shack will be stationed inside The Wadebridge Antiques & Collectors Fair, offering a curated selection of vintage records. The Easter celebrations will continue on Sunday at The Giant Shepton Flea at the Bath & West Showground, where The Record Shack will again be located indoors, ready to greet attendees with their extensive collection.
A Weekend of Record Fairs Post-Easter
The weekend following Easter is pegged to be an epic one, with two record fairs lined up that are not to be missed. The first will take place at the iconic Chintz Bar in Falmouth on Saturday, 6th April, from 11 am to 4 pm. This event is celebrated not only for its unique venue, known for its warmth, friendliness, and customer care but also for the vibrant atmosphere contributed by the surrounding shops, art, bars, live music, and the community. It promises to be a day filled with great finds and good vibes.
The following day, Sunday, 7th April, will see The Record Shack hosting a new event at the Par & St Blazey Scouts Hall in Cornwall. This venue is highlighted for its large free onsite parking and spacious indoor area. With the support of the local community, including Nathan, who has been instrumental in launching this fair, it’s set to offer a mix of vintage records, collectors’ items, jewellery, antiques, and more, along with free entry and light refreshments. Attendees will also have the opportunity to “try before they buy” with a stereo record player set up for their convenience.
Supporting Local Charities
In a move to give back to the community, The Record Shack will be collecting donations at both post-Easter fairs for iSightCornwall, a charity dedicated to providing social activities for individuals with sight impairments. Success at these fairs could also see contributions made to Par & St Blazey Scouts, reinforcing the event’s community-centric ethos.
A Thank You to Supporters
The Record Shack – Cornwall extends its gratitude towards its customers, venue hosts, and followers, acknowledging their crucial role in the success and sustainability of these events. The announcement also teases upcoming posters and promotional material for the fairs, inviting enthusiasts and the curious alike to mark their calendars for what promises to be an unforgettable series of events, so follow The Record Shack on Facebook for more information. The Record Shack also gives a nod to the Chintz Bar, High Street, Falmouth, recommending it as a serene escape from the chaos of the world.
