What a catch! Fisherman’s Friends Festival 2026 Has Sold Out!

Published On: 3 October 2025Last Updated: 3 October 2025By

The debut Fisherman’s Friends Festival has sold out, with every ticket for the 2026 event at Stithians Showground snapped up just four months after it was first announced.

The Port Isaac-based shanty folk group confirmed the Bank Holiday celebration of music and Cornish culture, set for 22nd–24th May 2026, is now completely sold out — eight months ahead of schedule.

A Cornwall Festival Success Story

Selling out so far in advance is something usually linked with major names like Glastonbury, making the overwhelming demand almost unheard of for a brand-new, independent festival.

The band said:

“We are humbled and delighted by the amazing response to our little festival that’s happening in our beloved Cornwall. Thank you to everyone who has snapped up tickets – you won’t be disappointed!

“We love touring but nothing can beat singing our hearts out on our home turf and we’re beyond excited to be hosting some incredible musicians and performers across the weekend.”

A Star-Studded Line-Up

The main stage will feature Fisherman’s Friends alongside a stellar line-up including Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Kate Rusby, Skipinnish, Seth Lakeman, Peat & Diesel, Sharon Shannon, Kernow King and The Longest Johns.

The Bandstand stage will bring performances from Company B, The Gulls from Port Isaac, Cornish Americana duo True Foxes, rising solo singer-songwriter Karenza Lily-May, The Jaywalkers, alternative shanty outfit Banjovial, rhythm and blues from Fisherman’s Friends musician Marcus Bonfanti, and Bandstand Folk Sessions with Geoff Lakeman and special guests.

Beyond the Music

It’s not just about the performances. Families can enjoy entertainment from Bigtopmania, ‘Greatest Showman’ Rob Pudner, Circo Rum Baba and The Whale installation exploring sea creatures and their survival. Traditional dance displays will come from Tywardreath Morris and Wreckers Border Morris, while Cornwall Heritage Trust will offer interactive heritage activities.

Visitors will also be able to take part in craft workshops, including handcrafting a giant festival fish lantern for a special parade before the Fisherman’s Friends closing performance on the Sunday night.

Touring Before Homecoming

Before their own festival in Cornwall, the group will embark on an autumn UK tour and then make their first trip to Australia in the new year, performing shows across the country.
