Lifeguard Services Change for Newquay Beaches: What You Need to Know

Today marks the final day of RNLI lifeguard services for three popular Newquay beaches: Porth, Tolcarne, and Great Western. From tomorrow, Fistral Beach will remain under lifeguard supervision seven days a week until 3rd November.

Weekend Lifeguard Cover for Other Beaches

Other beaches in and around Newquay, including Crantock, Towan, Watergate, and Mawgan Porth, will have lifeguard coverage only on weekends. However, these beaches will offer extended lifeguard services during the half-term break, from 26th October until 3rd November.

End of Season

All RNLI lifeguard services across these Newquay beaches will conclude on 3rd November.

If you see someone in difficulty near the coast, call 999 and ask for the coastguard immediately.
