Lola Tambling Wins Third National Skateboarding Title in Newquay

Seventeen-year-old Lola Tambling has claimed her third Skateboard GB National Championships Women's Park title, after securing first place on Sunday 17th August at Concrete Wave Skatepark in Newquay.

A Local Victory

The win marks Lola's second consecutive National Championship and her third overall. She previously competed at the Paris 2024 Olympics as part of Team GB, bringing her experience back to her home park in Cornwall for this year's competition.

Lola's Reaction

Speaking after the event, Lola said:

"I was so pleased to skate in the nationals and coming first place. It was cool being at my local park and was such an awesome day, everyone skated so well, the girls semis and finals was so fun. The other girls were smashing it too, some awesome skating went down, big up to Olive and Mara for coming 2nd and 3rd, they are definitely ones to watch out for, also the mens skating was on fire."

Rising Talent

Olive and Mara secured second and third place, with Lola praising their performances and highlighting them as "ones to watch out for."

The men's competition also impressed crowds, rounding off what was described as an exciting day at Newquay's Concrete Waves.
