Mary Lattimore Returns to Newquay for One Unmissable Night of Music with Neil Halstead
Los Angeles-based harpist and composer Mary Lattimore will make a rare return to Newquay next month for a special live performance at St Michael’s Church on Thursday 28th November.
Presented by ALMA Artspace, the evening will see Mary joined by Neil Halstead of Slowdive on guitar, performing material from their critically acclaimed album Silver Ladders, which was recorded together in Cornwall in 2020. The pair will also play a varied selection from Mary’s celebrated catalogue of work.
This appearance will be Mary’s only UK performance during her trip, ahead of recording a new album with Neil at his studio in North Cornwall.
Support from Voguebeloth
The evening will also feature support from Voguebeloth, a Cornish act born from the echoing walls of a chapel. Voguebeloth’s music weaves distortion and ambience into improvised soundscapes, featuring members of Mildred Maude, Seamouse, and Pink Midnight.
International Recognition
Known for her ethereal, experimental harp music layered with effects and synth, Mary’s distinctive sound has earned her international recognition and collaborations with artists including Kurt Vile, Sharon Van Etten, and Thurston Moore.
Every ticket sold supports ALMA Artspace’s community arts programme in Newquay.
