Nansledan Skate Jam to Return on 31st August 2025

The Nansledan Skate Jam is set to make its return on Sunday 31st August 2025, promising an afternoon packed with flips, tricks and family fun at the community’s pumptrack. Running from 1pm to 5pm, the event will bring together scooter riders, BMXers and skateboarders of all ages for a celebration of skill, music and local spirit.

Free Competitions and a Festival Atmosphere

Hosted by the Duchy of Cornwall in collaboration with Maverick Skateparks, this year’s Pumptrack Jam follows the success of 2024’s inaugural event. The competitions are free to enter, with no registration required, and are designed to be fun, inclusive and relaxed.

The day’s schedule includes:

• Scooter Jam – 1:00 to 2:00pm

• BMX Jam – 2:00 to 3:00pm

• Skate Jam – 3:00 to 5:00pm

• Music throughout the afternoon

• Rider demos and trick showcases

• Informal competitions and spot prizes

• Food from Shiva and ice lollies from the Nansledan Community Association

• Guest appearances from TR7

Spectators are welcome to simply enjoy the show, cheer on the riders and soak up the lively atmosphere.

Building on Last Year’s Success

The Nansledan pumptrack, built by Maverick Skateparks on behalf of the Duchy of Cornwall, opened in 2024 as part of a series of adventure playgrounds being developed in the area. Located behind Skol Nansledan, off William Hosking Road, it adjoins ‘Slynk’ – Cornish for ‘slide’.
