New Opportunity for Aspiring Surf Instructors in Newquay

Wavehunters, have announced an exclusive training program for aspiring surf instructors, scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of March at Watergate Bay, Newquay. This program is designed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to embark on a career as surf instructors, under the guidance of two of the surfing community’s most experienced professionals.

Andy from Wavehunters (@wavehuntersuk) and Pete from King Surf (@kingsurf), with over 40 years of combined experience in surf instruction, will lead the program. Their extensive knowledge and hands-on approach to teaching promise to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of surf instruction, from practical skills to theoretical knowledge.

The training spans two days of intensive learning, focusing on practical theory and the foundational aspects of surf instruction. Following this, participants are required to complete 20 hours of shadowing with either Andy or Pete, allowing for real-world experience in surf coaching and a deeper understanding of the instructor’s role.

The program offers only 16 spots, ensuring a personalised and focused training environment.
