A feast for the senses with live fire-cooking, local producers, and free music by the sea

Food lovers, mark your calendars – Newquay Food Festival is making its debut at Killacourt from 10th-13th July 2025, promising four days of incredible flavours, top chefs, and live music, all with free entry.

The festival will celebrate Cornwall’s thriving food scene, featuring local producers, creative talent, and a jam-packed entertainment schedule. Overlooking Towan Beach, visitors can enjoy everything from artisanal Cornish cheeses and fresh seafood to exotic street food and smash-burgers, alongside a fully stocked bar by St Ives Brewery.

Fire-Cooking Takes Centre Stage

One of the festival’s biggest highlights will be the Fire Theatre, hosted by Andi Tuck, head chef at The Tartan Fox by Adam Handling. Well-known for his fire-cooked creations and an appearance on Great British Menu, Andi will bring some of the South West’s top culinary talents to the stage.

Sponsored by Kamado Joe, the Fire Theatre will showcase live cooking demonstrations, sizzling barbecue experiences, and interactive tastings, giving visitors a front-row seat to expert techniques in cooking over flame.

A Coastal Celebration of Food and Music

It’s not just about the food – Newquay Food Festival will also be packed with live music and entertainment. With a diverse lineup ranging from laid-back acoustic sets to high-energy Latino and Afro-Caribbean bands, the festival will keep the stage live until 9pm each evening.

Event organiser Barney Farnworth shared his excitement about the festival, saying:

“I’m very proud to have grown up in Cornwall, so supporting local businesses and independent creatives has become a passion. Newquay’s history is steeped in fishing culture, and its food scene is prevalent to this day. It’s about time this town had a summer celebration of food & music, that it can call its own.”

Fellow organiser Harry James Mills added:

“We are overwhelmed by the support of the community already. It would seem that everyone’s very excited for Killacourt to be decorated with vibrant colours, tastes and enticing smells. Who wouldn’t be?!”

How to Get Involved

With a promise of mouthwatering food, local drinks, and top-tier entertainment, this coastal celebration is set to become a must-visit event in Cornwall’s festival calendar.
