No Coins? No Problem – Or Is It? Newquay Toilets Switch to Contactless Payments
The public toilets at the Killacourt in Newquay are going contactless, with work already underway to upgrade the payment system.
Closures Expected Over the Next Two Weeks
According to a post shared by Newquay Town Council on Facebook, the update will take place over the next two weeks, and the toilets may be closed intermittently while the work is carried out.
Contractors will “endeavour to keep at least one of the toilets open wherever possible” during the changes.
Contactless for Most – Cash Still Accepted in One
Once the upgrade is complete, the Men’s and Women’s toilets will only accept contactless payment. The unisex accessible toilet, however, will continue to accept both cash and contactless.
