Rock Fall Reported Between Towan and Great Western Beach
Public urged to stay away from the base of cliffs
Newquay Coastguard Search & Rescue Team were called out on Sunday after RNLI Lifeguards in Newquay reported a rock fall between Towan and Great Western Beach.
The team were tasked at 1.26pm on 18th May and attended the scene to investigate the report.

Safety warning issued
Members of the public are being reminded to stay well clear of the base of cliffs and to follow all safety advice given by lifeguards.
In a public message shared by the Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, they said:
“Members of the public are reminded of the hazards associated with being too close to the base of cliffs. Please stay clear and follow safety advice given by the Lifeguards.”
What to do in an emergency
If you see anyone in difficulty along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
