Smash Away Stress! Newquay’s Rage Cage Opens for a Smashing Good Time
Newquay’s latest attraction is giving people a unique way to let off steam, as The Rage Cage opened its doors on Valentine’s Day, offering a safe space to smash and destroy everyday objects.
A New Way to Relieve Stress
Set against the stunning backdrop of Newquay’s beaches, The Rage Cage provides a controlled environment for visitors to release frustration, whether from work, life’s pressures, or just for some adrenaline-fuelled fun. Equipped with safety gear, participants can wield hammers, bats, and crowbars to smash items such as glassware, ceramics, and even electronics.
One visitor shared their experience, saying:
“I had a smashing time! The staff were so friendly and gave an in-depth safety briefing. They checked my helmet was tightened appropriately at the back and made sure I had all the necessary PPE on. They supplied overalls, two pairs of gloves, steel-toe-cap boots, a snood and a hard hat, visor and ear defenders. My friend and I had an oven, toilet and lots of ceramics in our room. My preferred tool was the mini sledgehammer, my friend found joy in throwing the plates on the floor!”
Perfect for Groups and Team Building
The Rage Cage isn’t just for solo visitors—it offers packages for groups and corporate team-building events. Whether it’s a night out with friends, a unique date idea, or a workplace bonding experience, the venue aims to provide a fun and safe way to relieve stress.
Mark Warren, manager of Newquay BID, welcomed the new business, saying:
“It’s great to see new business opportunities especially with the current challenges to this sector, this is a welcome addition to Newquay and can be enjoyed by locals and tourists, all having a smashing time.”
With safety at the forefront, visitors are provided with full protective equipment, including overalls, steel-toe-cap boots, gloves, and a hard hat with a visor and ear defenders.
For those looking for an unconventional way to unwind, The Rage Cage is now open and ready for anyone wanting to smash their way to stress relief.
