The Tartan Fox to Host Burns Night Feasting Event in Cornwall

Chef Adam Handling MBE is bringing Burns Night celebrations to Cornwall later this month, with a special Scottish feasting evening planned at The Tartan Fox.

The event forms part of celebrations across the Adam Handling Collection, which is marking Burns Night at two of its pubs on Saturday 24th January.

Scottish Feasting Comes to Cornwall

In Cornwall, The Tartan Fox at Carvynick Farm near Newquay will host a Scottish fireside feasting night inside the pub’s heated tipi. The evening begins at 7pm and is being held in collaboration with Potluck Cornwall.

The menu celebrates Adam’s Scottish heritage and features a series of traditional dishes reworked with the team’s focus on sustainability and seasonal British produce.

Tickets are priced at £75 and can be booked via the pub’s website at www.tartanfoxpub.co.uk

What’s on the Menu

Guests can expect a full feasting menu including:

Chef’s snacks

Ember smoked Scottish scallops with garlic butter

Haggis with neeps and tatties, served with whisky sauce

Smoked chicken with peat whisky sauce, cabbage and roast potatoes

Clootie pudding with custard

Cranachan with oats, raspberry and more whisky

Burns Night Beyond Cornwall

Also taking place on Saturday 24th January from 7pm is a Burns Night celebration at The Loch & the Tyne. Priced at £80 per person, the evening will feature a special Burns Night menu, live bagpipes and a traditional Address to a Haggis delivered by one of the pub’s Scottish regulars.

A Growing Collection

Adam Handling operates venues across the UK, including locations in London, Old Windsor and Cornwall. The Collection includes restaurants, pubs and a chocolate shop, with a strong focus on British produce, sustainability and reducing food waste.

Burns Night traditionally celebrates the life and work of Scottish poet Robert Burns and is marked with haggis, poetry, music and whisky.
