Titan the Robot to Appear at Free Family Halloween Event in Newquay
Half Term set to bring Cornwall’s biggest Halloween celebration
Spooky Newquay is back this October Half Term and organisers say it will be bigger than ever, with world-famous Titan the Robot making a special appearance. The week of frightful festivities will run from Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November, transforming the resort into a Halloween spectacle.
The Zombie Crawl returns
The centrepiece event, Newquay’s Zombie Crawl, takes place on Saturday 25th October. Described as the only one of its kind in the South West, it will begin with free family workshops from 11am until around 2.30pm across the town. Activities include:
-
Freaky family face painting
-
Zombie outfit making sessions
-
Pop-up scary dance classes
-
Spooky storytelling
-
Circus skills and street entertainment
At 3pm sharp, thousands of zombies will gather at Station Parade on Cliff Road before crawling their way through the main street to Alma Place. The trail will finish with Spooky Discos at venues throughout the town.
This year’s event will also feature Titan the Robot, originally created in Newquay, who will bring “laughter, music and plenty of terrifying surprises” to the spectacle.
Halloween across Newquay
The fun continues all week with shops, cafés and attractions across Newquay set to join in by decorating their shopfronts, dressing up and offering “spooky monster offers”. A new Halloween Trail will run through the town, with participating businesses transforming their windows for the occasion.
Trenance Park will also play its part, hosting a Spooky Trenance Trail to extend the festivities beyond the centre.
A major date in the town calendar
Mark Warren, Manager of Love Newquay and Newquay Business Improvement District (BID), said:
“This event is such an important date in our town calendar. It brings thousands of people into Newquay on what would normally be a quiet weekend. Last year’s Zombie Crawl was incredible – the car parks were full, the town centre was buzzing, and everyone had a fantastic time. We’re so excited to bring it back again this year, bigger and better.”
Mark added:
“The Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl is more than just a family day out – it’s a major boost for local businesses. Shops, cafés, restaurants, and attractions are encouraged to get involved by hosting workshops, offering special ‘Spooky Newquay’ half-term deals, and even putting on after-dark discos to keep the fun going well into the evening. This is a completely free family event that we are working to make the biggest Halloween celebration in Cornwall – and maybe even the South West. It’s all about showcasing Newquay outside the summer season and creating unforgettable experiences for both locals and visitors. We can’t wait to see everyone in their best zombie costumes.”
More details to come
