Treviglas Academy Sixth Form Students Celebrate A Level Success

Treviglas Sixth Form celebrated A Level Results Day today, Thursday 14th August 2025, bringing together students, families and staff to recognise a year of hard work, determination and success.

Every student who applied for further education has secured a place, with most achieving the grades needed for their first-choice university.

Pride in Student Achievement

Head of Sixth Form, Joanne Handford, praised the commitment shown by this year’s cohort.

“We are incredibly proud of each and every student. Their achievements are the result of not just academic effort, but also the dedication, guidance, and encouragement from our staff, families, and wider school community.”

Treviglas offers bespoke courses and its prestigious Scholars’ Programme, enabling students to follow specialist pathways in the arts, sciences and vocational studies. These tailored routes have helped secure places at universities renowned for excellence in their fields.

Among the many success stories celebrated today were:

  • Sophia Frith – B Drama, B History, C English – University of Exeter Sociology

  • Noah Eggleton – Distinction* Creative Media, B English, C Geography – University of Wales Film and TV

  • Eric Marques – A Portuguese, Distinction Business, History and Geography – University of Exeter Business and Law

  • Taz Beckman – A Criminology, Distinction Business, Distinction Health and Social Care – Falmouth University Business and Marketing

  • Fin Blundell – Distinction Sport, Merit Business, Merit Creative Media – University of Plymouth Journalism (Sport)

  • Lowenna – B Art, Distinction Business, Geography – Cardiff Met Graphic Design

Joanne added:

Treviglas Academy and Sixth Form holds a Good Ofsted rating across all areas, including Quality of education, Behaviour and attitudes, Personal development, Leadership and management, and Sixth form provision. Inspectors noted that students learn effectively, receive strong support when applying to selective universities, and benefit from highly personalised guidance and enrichment opportunities, including the extended project qualification.
