Treviglas Academy Year 11 Celebrate Prom Night at Oceanside in Newquay
Sunshine and Spectacle in Newquay
Treviglas Academy’s Year 11 students marked the end of their secondary school journey with a showstopping prom at Oceanside in Newquay on Thursday 26th June.
With the sun shining and crowds gathered, students made their arrival in everything from biker cavalcades and vintage cars to four tractors, two steam traction engines and an articulated lorry. There were also a fair few sleek sports cars in the mix.
One spectator summed up the moment: “It was so lovely watching the arrivals in so many different modes of transport, seeing the beautiful gowns and smart suits. So much effort and thought had gone into creating a wonderful memory for everyone.”
A Milestone to Remember
The event, held at the clifftop venue overlooking the ocean, was more than just a party. It marked a milestone for the students as they wrapped up five years of school life.
Mrs Vittle, Year 11 Learning Lead, said: “I have to say how fantastic they all look! They have been a wonderful year group to work with over the last five years. I am incredibly proud of every one of them.”
Looking Ahead
Headteacher James Rogers greeted every student personally as they arrived and shared his pride in their achievements.
“What an incredible evening celebrating your achievements at the Treviglas Academy Prom! You’ve all come so far, and it was truly special to see you mark the end of this chapter in such style. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and wish you all the luck in the world for whatever your future holds.
“Whether you’re off on new adventures or continuing your journey with us, we know you’ll do amazing things. We’re especially excited to welcome so many of you back to our Sixth Form in September – the best is yet to come.”
